Understanding the Use of City Alleys

 

City Alleys are dedicated to the public, providing vehicle and pedestrian access to the rear side of properties that abut and are served by a public road.

Please consider that alleys can be a vital means of accessing a person or structure by emergency services.

Residents who require private use of a public right-of-way (i.e., construction, short-term projects), can apply for a Right-of-Way Permit on the City of White Salmon Online Permit Portal.

 

The City Code Compliance Officer will be visiting areas, including area alleys, to ensure health and safety concerns are addressed in accordance with the City of White Salmon Municipal Code.
