Public Open House: Transmission Main Replacement Project (Phase IIA)

When: Thursday, March 27, 2025
Time: 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Where: City Council Chambers, 119 NE Church Ave, White Salmon, WA

The City of White Salmon is preparing to replace part of its aging water pipeline to improve reliability and capacity. The next phase, Phase IIA, will upgrade a section of the transmission main from 14 inches to 20 inches in diameter, enhancing water supply efficiency.

 

Affected Areas Construction will take place in several key locations, including:

  • Forrester Drive and Powerhouse Road – Replacement of existing pipeline infrastructure.
  • SR 141/West Jewett Drive – Work extending from Powerhouse Road to the city’s check valve vault near SW Schuener Drive.
  • Knoll Road and Arnett Road – Installation of new water mains and service lines.
  • Nearby areas along SR 141 – Additional pipeline upgrades impacting local roads and properties.

To keep the community informed, the City is hosting a public open house where residents can:

  • Learn about the project timeline and construction plans
  • Understand potential traffic impacts and property access changes
  • Meet the project team and ask questions
