Jewett Water Main Improvements Project Begins

The City of White Salmon is undertaking the replacement of a water main along Jewett Blvd. The contractor will begin work on Monday, February 17. The work is expected to continue through September 2020.

This project will involve lane closures and detours along Jewett Blvd. (Highway 141) from the Bingen City limits through downtown White Salmon to Garfield Street. Information and updates about the project are available on the city’s webpage http://www.white-salmon.net.

For the week of February 17 through February 21st, the contractor will be working in the following locations:

• February 17-18, 5th Place in White Salmon (note the first half of the first block of 5th Place will be closed for both days
• February 19-21, immediately west of Bingen city limits

The east bound lane (the lane that runs downhill from White Salmon towards Bingen) of Jewett Blvd. (Highway 141) will be closed with flaggers directing traffic. Construction work will be taking place between the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
