Bag to Bin Curbside Recycling Switch – Important Update
Republic Services is transitioning to bin-only recycling for curbside collection. Please review the following important dates and reminders:
Final Bag Collection Date: Plastic recycling bags will no longer be accepted after April 30, 2025. Please begin using your new recycling bin.
Bin Distribution:
- Recycling bins are currently being delivered.
- Some bins may be left at the end of your driveway, labeled with your house number.
- If you do not receive a bin by April 30, please contact Republic Services at 509-773-5825.
Recycling Guidelines:
- Only blue recycling bins will be serviced. Do not place garbage in recycling bins.
- Place bins at the curb, not next to your house or fence, to avoid additional roll-out charges.
- Bins have serial numbers—please do not take a bin that doesn’t belong to you.
- Refer to the Recyclable Materials List for approved items, link: https://www.klickitatcounty.gov/425/Recycling
Service & Routing Update (3/24/25):
- Republic Services is actively working with routing managers to improve efficiency on recycling routes. We appreciate your patience during this transition.
- A limited supply of 32-gallon bins is available upon request if a 65-gallon bin is too large.
