Klickitat County Has Applied for Phase 2 -- Governor Issues New Proclamation

Klickitat County has submitted their application to the state for Phase 2 reopening. We expect to hear from the state any day.

Governor Inslee issued a new proclamation on May 31, 2020 amending Proclamations 20-05, 20-25, 20-25.1 20-25.2 and 20-25.3, Transition from “Stay Home – Stay Healthy” to “Safe Start – Stay Health” County-By-County Phase Reopening. The proclamation and the ‘Safe Start Washington – Phase Reopening County-By-County” documents are available on the city’s COVID-19 webpage www.white-salmon.net/covid19.

In addition, several media releases and public service announcements issued by Klickitat County have been added to the webpage.

The City of White Salmon encourages all businesses to begin reviewing Phase 2 requirements (provided under “Supporting Documents”) for reopening. All businesses located in the city (including licensed contractors doing business in the city) will be required to submit Phase 2 COVID-19 plans to the city. Retail businesses or any other type of business that has been open as “essential businesses” will need to comply with Phase 2 COVID-19 requirements.

If you have any questions about Phase 2 reopening requirements or a question as to what category your business falls under, please contact Jan Brending at 509-493-1133 #205 or janb@ci.white-salmon.wa.us.

We are looking forward to a Safe Start Phase 2 reopening.
